Alejandro Burga (IMBA) and David Haselbach (IMP) join EMBO Young Investigator Program

Alejandro Burga, group leader at IMBA, and David Haselbach, Technology Platform Head for cryo electron microscopy at the IMP, were selected by the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) to take part in its prestigious Young Investigator Programme.

Annually, the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) chooses accomplished young group leaders with high potential at European research institutions to join its Young Investigator Programme. Candidates have established their labs within the four years preceding their application and go through a highly competitive selection to join the programme.

For this year, 26 researchers have been selected as new EMBO Young Investigators; among them are IMBA group leader Alejandro Burga and IMP Technology Platform Head David Haselbach. For the next four years, they will join an international network of 700 outstanding life scientists across Europe.
